Both NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming ) and CBT ( Cognitive Behaviour Therapy ) are effective techniques for treating people who are suffering from panic attacks. At my practice in Hertfordshire I have treated many clients for panic attacks. Panic attacks can be more serious then people imagine. Some severe cases can cause the person to experience physical pain to such an extent they feel they are having a heart attack. Also in some severe cases people go on to develop Agoraphobia which can affect their daily life. I use both NLP and CBT techniques at my practice in Hertfordshire to treat clients suffering from panic disorder. I use both techniques as it really depends on the client. Some clients respond better to NLP and others respond better to CBT.Cognitive Behaviour Therapy works by looking at the relationship between what people think, do and feel. It is based upon the principle that what you are thinking will affect what you feel and what you do, and what you are doing will have an effect on what you are thinking. Within CBT Herts, people learn to change the way they are thinking and feeling. Part of the CBT therapy I offer ...

As with many "soft" sciences which endeavor to be taken more seriously, hypnotic therapy in general is full of hocus pocus - swirling spirals, shiny crystals and pendulums, with post-hypnotic demonstrations of "clucking chickens" and compulsions to scratch phantom itches. Serious hypnotic practitioners naturally wish to separate themselves from such reminders of charlatans and stage performers.NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which itself has somewhat of a reputation to overcome) is, basically, a methodology for modeling the best examples of performance in, really, any field of endeavor, extracting the essentials from them, and incorporating these abstractions into its 'library' of techniques. Thus it would be inaccurate to say that some technique is NLP, because all NLP processes are borrowed from elsewhere, be it psychology, sports, marketing, physical therapy or even medicine and science.Besides, what new trainees are taught on the very first day is that, "If you can identify a technique as an NLP procedure, it is, by that very fact, not NLP, because the essence of NLP is elegance and transparency." Therefore, 'evidence' of the use of NLP by a practitioner would be the client's impression that "S/he seems very sympathetic and trustworthy" or "We didn't really do anything, but I already ...

I had a terrible day today; everything seemed to go wrong right from the start. Every decision I made today seemed to be the wrong decision and had negative results. Why do I seem to have days like this all the time lately?Do you ever feel like that? Don't you hate it when you see people that are always happy and always seem to make the right decision - every single time?Did you know that it's all about the way that we think? The way we think can affect the outcome of our entire day and in fact our entire lives. If a person has had many bad experiences in their lives then these past experiences will effect all the decisions that they make on a daily basis. Even though they will not connect their current decisions with their past experiences, it is the way that the mind works. Each and every decision that a person makes is made based on their past experiences. If you've had a negative past then you will continue to make negative decisions in the future and will continue down that negative pathway. If you are one of these 'negative' people you probably hate reading this and think ...

In this article we are going to discuss a few self hypnosis techniques that work phenomenally well for many top achievers. Simply stated, if you have any desire of breaking through the limiting paradigms that hold many of us down, you simply MUST begin to understand, master and intuit your own sub conscious emotions. The only way, obviously, to master these little gremlins that lurk in those shallow spaces UNDERNEATH your conscious awareness, is to find them, and confront them where they live. And the approach you are going to use is self hypnosis. Read on.Filed Under: The Serious Science of the Mind ExposedThe truth of the matter is quite simple: 99% of the problems in your life, right now, are directly related to cognitive conflicts that you are WHOLLY unaware of. Contradictions between what your CONSCIOUS awareness wants to do, and your SUBCONSCIOUS awareness allows it to do..:-) We all have an inner battle raging within our biological hardwiring....with our subconscious WINNING this battle every day and twice and Sunday and we never even are AWARE that the battle is being fought. The key to overcoming this conflict and getting on the winning side is simply to delve into ...

I wanted to talk to you about hypnosis techniques for conversations. Everyone has their own view of what is hypnosis. The think of a person on stage counting to three and snapping their fingers. They watch as the person falls into a trance and does anything that is suggested to them. You have to understand that this is for show. There is a lot more subtle types of hypnosis and persuasion going on in your daily life. It's probably being done to you at work each day. It's just so subtle that you really don't understand that it is happening. I want to talk to you about these hypnosis techniques that are being used in everyday conversation.Everyone has psychological triggers that other people can push and you will respond a specific way. I think it's important to know these triggers, not so you can manipulate others, but so you understand when someone is trying to do it to you.Consistency from tough emotional decisions are one of the most exploited things you'll ever see. When someone makes a difficult choice, they're later come up with reasons why the choice was good. A very common example is politicians. A lot of politicians ...
