As with many "soft" sciences which endeavor to be taken more seriously, hypnotic therapy in general is full of hocus pocus - swirling spirals, shiny crystals and pendulums, with post-hypnotic demonstrations of "clucking chickens" and compulsions to scratch phantom itches. Serious hypnotic practitioners naturally wish to separate themselves from such reminders of charlatans and stage performers.NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which itself has somewhat of a reputation to overcome) is, basically, a methodology for modeling the best examples of performance in, really, any field of endeavor, extracting the essentials from them, and incorporating these abstractions into its 'library' of techniques. I was such a worry wart, I worried about absolutely everything. When I had kids my worrying got even worse since I had three other little people to worry about now too.If my kids ever got sick I would be so sick with worry that I would literally feel sick to my stomach and I just couldn't eat. And I'm only talking about minor illnesses like colds and flus, I was really, really bad. My worries and anxiety were at a level where they were just completely irrational.I read so many self help books and even attended anxiety seminars and visited a counsellor. None of these things helped change that dreadful sick feeling that I got whenever the kids got sick or hurt. Then one day........I found NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming and my life changed that day. NLP is so easy and doesn't require months and months of visits to talk to a counsellor about things that you'd really prefer not to talk about. NLP had fast results, it's very simple and you can do it from your own home. The NLP techniques that I used have been amazing. I can actually cope now when my kids get sick, I don't ...
