The subconscious mind is the real primary seat of decision making. All the facts and details that you may uncover through research are filtered through the or predispositions imbedded deep within your subconscious mind. This concept goes a long way to explain why two people who viewing the same subjective thing might have very different accounts of it.This is not new knowledge. There is no need for exotic equipment to verify this. This is common sense and has been supported by none less than Jesus. (Whatsoever a man thinkest so is he.) Sales people know that the use of logic is simply to validate your decisions. New sales people often direct their pitch toward logical, factual persuasion. They are generally unsuccessful. Salespeople with a system of finding people with a predisposition to buy are much more successful. That is certainly not to imply that subconscious predispositions cannot be altered. Most of the time factual information chips away at the subconscious' predispositions like a hammer and chisel on an iceberg. Milton Erickson's unconventional ideas about hypnosis have now come to be regarded as some of the best ways to hypnotize somebody in order to have them do what you need them to do without them even noticing that they've been hypnotized. One of the main ways in which he challenged the traditional views on hypnosis was to remove it from a strictly clinical setting. With Erickson's methods, it is possible to hypnotize people indirectly in any environment and it can also be done naturally during the course of a conversation.Doing conversational hypnosis is achieved, in large part, by becoming much more intuitive about how people communicate and learning to build rapport with them. Rapport was the key to all of Milton Erickson's hypnosis work, allowing him to connect on an emotional level with his patients and the subjects of his conversational hypnosis methods so that they would quickly grow to trust him. Rapport is about building connections with people rather than approaching them from an authorities position and telling them what to do. Once rapport is built, Erickson found that it was enough to merely suggest ideas to his subject and then they would act on them due to the ...
